What Your Burger Style Says About You

It is scientifically proven that your burger preference says a lot about who you are as a person.* Today, we dive into the depths of your soul by uncovering what your burger style says about YOU!

Ketchup, mustard, and relish

You’re a traditionalist who believes that classics are classics for a reason. Why reinvent the wheel, right? Every time you reach for this burger it instantly transports you back to your childhood. Summer barbecues in the backyard, jumping through the sprinkler without a care in the world. You’re a straight-up, no-frills type of person who wastes no time getting to the point. It’s one of the things people love the most about you.

Extra protein (pulled pork, peameal bacon, fried egg, etc.)

As Homer Simpson once said, “you don’t win friends with salad.” While you’re not sure you’d go quite that far, you do consider yourself a staunch meat lover with a tendency towards a more is more approach. You probably order your pizza with extra pepperoni, and your friends know they can count on you to be the last one to tap out during 25 cent wing nights. You don’t hold back, and what you see is what you get. Live it up!

No bun

This could go one of two ways: you’re either on a shred or you have Celiac Disease. If it’s the former, kudos to you for committing to your fitness goals without depriving yourself of things you enjoy. If it’s the latter, we are sorry to hear that you are part of the 1% of North Americans affectedby this autoimmune disease. No matter which camp you fall in, you take your health extremely seriously and others marvel at your conscientiousness and dedication to your wellness. (You probably already know this, but just in case you don’t: layering leaves of crisp iceberg lettuce makes a great alternative to burger buns if you’re tired of knife-and-forking your burger.)

Funky cheese

You’re adventurous and have an extremely open mind when it comes to new (flavour) experiences. Also, you’re clearly not lactose-intolerant. You have love for what’s tried, tested, and true, but it doesn’t trump your love of the unexplored or unexpected. Where others scoff at “stinky cheese” you say, “more Stilton for me!” You’re the person that pushes others to step outside their comfort zone. Your loved ones may not be as fearless as you, but they appreciate when you encourage them to try something new.

Gourmet add-on$ (shaved truffle, foie gras, lobster claw, etc.)

For you, “Treat yoself” is more than a phrase from Parks and Recreation, it’s a lifestyle. Your thought is: if I’m going to indulge in a burger, why not push it to the max? Yes, you make it rain truffle shavings on your burger; no, you won’t stop living your best life. You have a taste for the finer things in life, and while not everyone can relate, your YOLO approach makes most admire your flair for the extravagant.

Hot and spicy

You aren’t one to shy away from Sriracha or jalapenos. Your taste for the fiery things in life is a direct result of your fiery disposition. You bring passion to everything you do. You’re the first one to jump out of your seat and loudly cheer on your favourite football team, and the last one to leave the dancefloor at your best friend’s wedding. You’ve got a spirit that nobody can extinguish, and that’s what makes you so much fun to be around!

Plain (no condiments, no toppings)

What can we say? You’re an enigma.

Ultimately, there is no wrong way to dress your burger.
